Presión de los neumáticos

Según el RACE, “conducir usando neumáticos con una presión de 0,5 bares inferior a la recomendada por el fabricante hace que el consumo aumente en un 2% en áreas urbanas y un 4 % en las interurbanas”. Además tendrás que valorar si la carga de tu vehículo a la hora de mantener esa presión en los neumáticos.
Marchas largas
Los vehículos actuales permiten el funcionamiento aunque circulemos en marchas largas sin influir en su rendimiento y a muy bajas revoluciones con el motor muy desahogado y consumiendo lo mínimo. Es muy recomendable que conduzcas en marchas largas ya que apurar las marchas cortas revoluciona el motor exigiendole un consumo mayor de combustible.
Anticipación
Está comprobado que entre el 30 y el 50 % del gasto de combustible depende de la manera de conducir de su propietario. Conducir a una velocidad moderada y constante, mantener la distancia de seguridad que nos permita circular a una velocidad constante sin tener que ir pendiente del freno. En la salida de los semáforos se debe acelerar de una manera progresiva y cambiar aprovechando el mejor rendimiento del motor. También es interesante, anticiparse y dejar de acelerar al ver a lo lejos un coche, un camión o un autobús que circula más despacio para llegar con inercia en retención sin gasto de combustible. Anticiparse permite no solo ahorrar combustible, sino también pastillas de freno.
